Favourite Christmas Film, Miracle on 34th Street

What is your favourite Christmas film? Mine is definitely Miracle on 34th Street, the old and the newer copy; both delightful in their own ways I decided to watch them both Friday and Saturday night cool hey when in my 20’s.

There are many parts of the film I love from both the old and new, in the older version I love the screenshot above where the little girl is taught how to imagine and pretend to be a monkey. In the newer version where the little girl is watching the Cole’s Christmas parade and it is nearly over then Santa Claus winks at her from a far as she is perched on the window seat up high.

What I really adore is the traditional english sentimental values, the english manners and mannerisms, the traditional english fashion such as the little girl’s coat with matching hat that so few retailers stock today. Few films these days make me proud to be English. The bows in the hair and pinafore dresses which resemble innocence and feminism.
